Installing VMware Fusion on Mac for Running Windows in Parallel

To Install Windows 10 Using VMWare Fusion

***For more graphical intensive applications using windows, use bootcamp

  1. Select File > New from the VMWare fusion menu.
    Click file new
  2. Click Install from disc or image.

  3. Click Continue.
  4. Click the name of the file or disk.  If you have downloaded a Windows image or the Windows .iso file from Microsoft and the file is in your downloads folder, is should display in here.  If not, click “Use another disc or disc image” and then navigate to the file).

  5. Click Continue.
  6. Ensure that Easy Install checkbox is checked.

  7. If necessary, type in your Mac Administrator Account Name (user name).  Then, type in the Administrator Password in the Password box.  Type it again to confirm it.

  8. Enter in the Windows Product Key.

  9. Click the drop down box and choose Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro from the list.

  10. Click Continue.
  11. If you will be sharing files with your Mac, click the More Seamless button.  If you will not need to share files with Mac OS X, choose More Isolated.

  12. Click “Continue”
  13. Click “Finish”. If you wish to modify any of the settings such as memory or disk size, click Customize Settings and make your changes.

  14. Type a name for your virtual machine. The location should default to your Virtual Machine folder.

  15. Click Save to begin the installation.
  16. Enter any necessary setup and settings information.
